We hit the road on the 23rd to head to the Kruegers for part 1 of our holiday travels. The road trip should have taken just over 3 hours but due to an unexpected snowfall that started an hour before our departure, it took closer to 4.5 hours. Not such a big deal....unless you are traveling with 2 toddlers.
We were hoping that O & S would be doing a lot of this during the ride.
Unfortunately we only got it for about an hour on this leg and we were barely to WI at that point! After seeing 25+ accidents/cars in the ditch, we were just happy to arrive safely.
Although we weren't at home for Santa's visit, he still managed to get O & S's presents under the tree on Christmas morning.
Clearly he is grooming them for med school scholarships. Or at least we can hope.
They tested out their tools on grandma and grandpa.
But we should have known better. The tupperware drawer was way more exciting. And they make really cool hats.
And they won't forget how much fun Auntie Sharon was.
Or how much grandpa liked to snuggle with them.

Christmas day was the big celebration, hosted by Aunt Shelley and Uncle LeRoy. It was a packed house with 32 adults and kids, plus one in the oven (and no, not me)!
O & S now have the perfect playmate at family gatherings. Cousin (technically second cousin) Liam is just a few months younger. And cute as ever.
Uncle Duane sneaking in a little Stella time in the middle of the action.
The girls smiling pretty.
And it wouldn't be a Krueger family Christmas without a visit from you know who.
Oliver and Stella were just fine checking him out from dad and Uncle Jeff's safe arms.
It is tradition that each grandchild and great grandchild sit on Santa's lap.
They all did much better than O & S.
Pretty sure that Stella was watching to make sure that Santa had left the house.
It was a great Christmas celebration with the two best presents we could ask for!
