Quaker Oats Anyone?
I guess Stella wanted some oatmeal......she could have just told me. Instead she took it into her own hands!

Double Digits
Oliver & Stella are 10 months today (which Chop, the finance guy, so kindly pointed out is 5/6th of a year). I say it every month but seriously, where has the time gone?! In honor of their 10 month birthday, here is our list of "Top 10 ways our lives have changed since O & S were born":
10. There is no longer any usable space in our car, other than the driver and passenger seat. Any space we had before has been replaced by car seats and strollers. And this is with a vehicle that is almost double the size as the one we had before them!
9. It's a well known fact that babies love to go through the kitchen cabinets. Our house is no exception to this. The kitchen cabinets are no longer ours, they belong to O & S.
8. No more need to fight over the remote! Not that it was ever really a question that I got to have it anyways, but now Chop doesn't either. It seems to be a favorite of O & S so when it has disappeared, it can often be found in their hands or scattered in with their toys. And thank goodness for DVR or we would have no need for a TV anyways.
7. We used to spend time throwing a tennis ball for Maizy. Now we just throw babies for fun. Or maybe toss is a better word for it. Either way, they seem to enjoy it. Word of caution: when visiting at another house, just make sure their ceilings are as high as the one in your own home. Ask Chop, he and Stella learned the hard way (no pun intended)!
6. When we speak of bottles and chugging, it no longer refers to Chop’s ability to put away beer!
5. Sleeping in on a good day no longer means 9:30am. It means 5:30am. No, not kidding. I wish I was saying 7:00am but the reality is that Oliver gets up some time between 4:45-5:15am everyday. And yes, we've tried every method of fixing this (later bedtime, leaving him, etc.) and nothing seems to fix the fact that he gets up at this unruly time in the morning. Or should I say middle of the night since that is what it feels like?! And no photo for this one.....way too early to be taking pictures!4. Cleaning and picking up has taken on a whole new meaning. It was a good week if I swept the dining room floor once, now it is a three time a day occurrence after every meal that O & S eat. And this is nothing compared to the living room mess of toys that gets picked up several times a day.
3. I love shoes. But instead of shoe shopping for cute shoes for myself, I now get to look for cute baby shoes. Fun? Absolutely. But my shoe closet has dramatically decreased in style!
2. Getting together with friends now means "getting together with friends, with their kids and our kids, and between nap times and/or before 7:00pm bedtime". For example, our friend's Mike and Marhya came over yesterday for "appetizers/dinner" at 4:00 and headed home at 6:15. Unfortunately, despite Eli's best attempts, I was less than successful at getting a picture of Oliver and Stella with Eli and Thad where all of them were looking at the camera!
1. And of course number one has to be sentimental…….we now not only have each other, we have two little babies to spend the rest of our lives with!

Tooth Fairy
There has been a lot of fighting lately in the house over these.
Guess what that means.......we are finally getting our first teeth in this house.
First felt Stella's coming through last week.
Then O's.In typical twin fashion, cutting their first bottom tooth in the same week. We were getting worried we were going to have toothless children.
In different news, Stella has become daddy's little helper in getting the tub ready for baths.
And not so helpful in getting herself dressed and ready for bed after her bath. This is the reason we have learned how to diaper a baby standing up so wrestle mania doesn't ensue. We like to say "Lets get ready to rumble" before picking her up out of the tub. Good times.
And I couldn't resist running for the camera when we caught O taking a dive into the toy basket. Literally.
Fauxhawk
Mom says that Uncle Jeremy is the hippest guy I know. She showed me this picture of the two of them and the first thing I said was "I want hair like that!".
So, in order to be as hip and cool as him I decided to get a fauxhawk. Uncle Jeremy used to live in New York and then moved to LA. I'm just stuck in boring Minneapolis. He also plays all sorts of instruments and is into the music scene. I'm practicing all of my rock star singer looks so maybe someday I can be just like him!
I can also still smile like an old man with my fauxhawk.
Uncle Jeremy also used to have dreads. Hmmmm......

Grandpa Krueger's 70th Birthday Bash
We took a quick Saturday-Sunday road trip this weekend so we wouldn't miss Grandpa Krueger's 70th surprise birthday party.
The was no lack of arms to hold O & S.......Uncle Duane, Uncle Jeff, and Uncle LeRoy enjoying a little twin time.
Oliver tries to get his hands on some Point beer. He knew better than to drink that and asked where the Guinness was.
Twins with the twins!
Life is good for cousin Alaina and her triple stacked cracker sandwich.
Love this butt (and leg rolls).
Testing out the swing with Grandpa.
Little Alaina gave Oliver a ride in the stroller (again and again)......such a little mommy!Cousins Lindsey & Alexa enjoying the swings.
And it wouldn't be a WI get together with the Kruegers without a little ladder golf.
Stella hates the sun in her eyes so Grandpa made her a little sunhat.Feeding on the go (anyone looking for a fabulous spoon that keeps food contained in it - get the BOON spoon!).
Lindsey shows off her mad hoola hoop skills.Stella enjoys her morning eggs and pear in daddy's old high chair.
We are so happy to have made the trek back and wish we could have stayed longer!
And nothing says road trip (and Mother's Day) without a pit stop on the way home. Picture this: the four of us crammed into the men's bathroom at a gas station, changing two diaper blowouts that required clothing changes on the floor of a backwoods gas station off the highway!

Stella the Bull
This is a nickname that we use quite often around here. Stella doesn't seem to understand when moving around that there are other people, things, etc. that are around her. Her favorite move is to crawl over to something and go to a sitting position, with complete disregard that there might be someone behind her. This means she often sits on top of Oliver. Not to mention, diaper and clothing changes have become wrestling matches.
A few days ago, I returned from a Target trip with them and was in the kitchen putting things away. A few minutes later I heard giggling, followed by a "thump", followed by whimpers. I went in to the living room to find this:
I guess Stella thought it was fun to crawl over to her brother and push him on the floor and pin him down.
And yes, I'm a mean mom for grabbing the camera and snapping photos before rescuing Oliver. Don't worry, he wasn't hurt!
