It has been awhile since we did a monthly recap but since O & S hit the 18 month mark today, it seemed like it was time. In honor of them being a year and a "half" we thought we would determine which "half" they got some of their personality traits from. Here we go......
Looks aren't technically a personality trait but there is no doubt where Oliver got his physical genes from. He is all Chop, glasses and all.
Or some might say the little boy from Jerry McGuire.
Stella likes to practice yoga. Since Chop has only seen the inside of a yoga studio once, this one goes to Kendra.
This kid knows how to put a serious amount of food down. Definitely Chop. Time will tell if he will follow in daddy's footsteps and eat an entire pizza for dinner.
Stella loves to read. Since neither of us are exactly bookworms, we're going to give the credit to Grandma C.
Though when it comes to the newspaper, Chop takes it. Especially considering both Oliver & Stella point to the newspaper and say "da-da". This also goes for coffee mugs, tv remotes, and beer bottles. Hmmmmmm.
Oliver doesn't let much get by him. He's curious. Always taking things in. Always watching. You can't sneak anything out of his sight without him knowing where you put it. A little bit of each of us.
Early rising and bad napping = lots of eye rubbing. Chop is a firm believer in the benefits of a good nap. Kendra does not know how to rest.
Oliver is always figuring out how things work. Light switches, faucets, buttons. Definitely Chop.
This girl is a daredevil. A monkey. Has a serious amount of energy. Doesn't walk, just runs. All Kendra.
Oliver wears his emotions on his sleeve which doesn't really fit either of us. Must be from the mailman.
Clothes, shoes, hats, accessories. A girl thing = Kendra. Though her collection of all of these things has surpassed that of her mom!
Still with us? Though they are so different and definitely their own half, there is no doubt that the two halves come together to make a whole.
They get the biggest smiles when bringing each other their loveys.
And where one is, you can usually find the other.
Always watching out for each other.
Copying each other.
We would be lying if we were to pretend that they were always on as good of terms as the above photos shows. We like to use the term "frienemies" - we'll save the other half of enemy photos for another blog post :)!
