A certain someone turned 36 last Friday!

Oliver decided to make it extra memorable by greeting Chop at the back door, jumping up and down, and then losing his footing and falling all the way down the basement stairs. It was an awful sound that I hope I never have to hear again! He cut his eyelid and bruised his side but was otherwise okay. Whew!

Thankfully we were still able to continue with our dinner plans and headed downtown to Butcher & the Boar for a celebratory dinner and drinks with our friends Mike and Maryha. For anyone that knows the menu, it is basically meat, meat, and more meat. Just what the birthday boy wanted! With some yummy foodie sides like brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and smothered greens. Those were more for me, not him!
